The main purpose of the platform is to introduce new innovative solutions to the food industry and to implement new knowledge from Czech and foreign R&D experts in real life. The innovation platform brings together research organizations, individual researchers, businesses, consumers and public administration bodies. This helps us keep up with the latest trends and lay the foundations for the adoption of innovations, business development, and acquiring unique competitive advantages from the innovation platform.
The platform includes support activities, such as grants, innovation research, assistance with funding of technology and product innovations, and finding foreign partners.
On Tuesday, May 31, BIOCEV research center hosted a seminar on innovation trends in the food industry. The event was attended by food producers from Central Bohemia who learned how to leverage new research findings for the production of healthy food. The event also laid foundations of the first food industry innovation platform in Central Bohemia. The platform will foster discussion and opportunities for partnership between businesses and research institutions aimed at the development of innovative food products.
