International Researchers’ Meetup – Maker movement and 3D printing

Around 40 scientists from all corners of the world living and working in the regional research organisations met at the opportunity of another International Researchers’ Meetup on 12 October 2021 at the Hotel Expo and Prusa Research in Prague. Regular meetups organised by Central Bohemian Innovation Center bring researchers to different places and make them discover science related topics. The topic of the last meetup was 3D printing and Maker movement – a world cultural trend which stands on creativity, innovation and digital fabrication.

What was on the agenda?

• Presentation of the Maker movement in the Czech Republic and the story of Prusa Research
• Commented visit of the most famous Czech makerspace PrusaLab
• Presentations of the project Brain4Industry – Digital Innovation Hub in Dolní Břežany and of the project Maker culture in Central Bohemia
• Mini workshop on creative thinking
• Exhibition of prototypes created by the researchers themselves
• And, of course networking!
