Establishing collaboration between large corporations and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, and research institutions
A new comprehensive SIC service focuses on establishing collaboration between large corporations and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, and research institutions. The service aims to combine the best of both worlds, i.e. the dynamics and innovative potential of SMEs and research institutions with the credibility, robustness and access to financial capital of corporations. The purpose of such collaboration is to support the innovation eco-system of the Central Bohemian Region.
The COLLABORATION WITH CORPORATIONS service is provided in several successive steps:
1. Being part of the eco-system
We provide corporations with access to more than 27,000 SMEs in the Central Bohemia Region, or 280,000 SMEs throughout the Czech Republic. These businesses cover the entire range of industries, represent a great innovative potential, and are able to respond flexibly to needs that corporations often cannot easily and quickly integrate into their processes.
2. Establishing initial relationships according to client needs (matchmaking)
We conduct TECHNOLOGY SCOUTING focused on key innovation and technology trends and the future challenges of corporations and provide targeted NETWORKING to connect corporations with the right partners. We organise matchmaking events or individual B2B meetings tailored to corporations’ needs and opportunities offered by the innovation eco-system of (both within and beyond) the Central Bohemian Region.
3. Building mutual trust
We provide a TARGETED CONNECTION between A CORPORATION with a research institution that can help with a specific development project, proof of concept, technology consultation and others, that exceed the resources and reach of the corporation. We bring all parties together and act as an independent guarantor of business negotiations. We also ensure that all business meetings and negotiations follow established BUSINESS ETHICS.
4. Mentoring
We provide access to investment/acquisition opportunities in product and business innovation. Through the well-established YNOVATE network of experts and mentors, SIC can access a knowledge base covering the full range of business competencies in both the corporate and SME sectors and ensure smooth collaboration between them.

Throughout the process, SIC acts as a mediator with knowledge of the local innovation eco-system and has active awareness of what both worlds need. At the same time, we create a trustworthy environment for the establishment and growth of business relationships from which all partners involved benefit over the long term.
How much does it cost?
At SIC, we are proud to help Central Bohemian innovation and technology grow. And to our clients, we provide this service free of charge. For large projects, we may charge a certain amount to cover additional costs. Such costs are calculated on a case-by-case basis before the project begins.
