Smart Cities and Smart Municipalities
A more accessible Internet, more efficient governmental authorities, pedestrian crossings powered by solar energy, garbage cans that communicate with trash collectors. Those are just some of the results of the Smart Cities projects in the Central Bohemian Region. Smart solutions that are not visible at first sight, but exist all around us.

The virtual SYNOPCITY platform is an information network that connects national and European regions and enables them to communicate and share information between communities, research and private spheres.
Thanks to our collaboration with SYNOPCITY, we interconnect cities and municipalities from the Central Bohemian Region and raise awareness and provide news and events in the field of Smart Cities instead.
Join us and share your experience and examples of best practice from your city or municipality so that together we can create a smart region.
In early 2017, during the first ever “Smart Cities in the Central Bohemian Region” conference, we established regular meetings between representatives from Central Bohemian cities and municipalities, business and experts, entitled the Smart Cities Innovation Platform.
We use the platform to connect representatives from cities and municipalities in the region with businesses that develop smart solutions. We help them to share best practice examples and engage Central Bohemian cities and municipalities in the preparation and implementation of “smart” projects. Thanks to thematic workshops and seminars, we have been increasing the region´s awareness of funding available for implementing “smart” solutions.
